Nurse Midsighs

From the July ’95 issue of BUF, here’s a Ned Sonntag one-pager that I suspect might’ve thrown much of its men’s mag readership when first it appeared:

(Once again, the above strip is copyright Ned Sonntag.)

Yet another wonderful piece by Ned. I'm curious as to what you feel would have thrown folks with this one?

The acknowledgement of the medical issues faced by many super-sized women is not something that you'd immediately expect to see in a mag primarily devoted to stroking and fantasizing. It'd be a like coming upon an article on the dangers of breast implants in the pages of Juggs.

Good point. I hadn't thought much of that. But in all reality, I guess thats because I tend not to shy away from such parts of my gentile obsession with obesity. Heck, in some cases, some of the downsides of obesity make up a strange part of the allure to me.

Think you're right that for a lotta experienced FAs, this wouldn't be an issue – but a large part of the men's mag readership is comprised of inexperienced young men who are more about the fantasy than the reality. That's the part of the audience who I suspect would've been startled by Ned’s strip . . .
